Actors Portfolio / Photo Shoot / Action shots

OUGD603 / EXTENDED PRACTICE.
ACTORS PORTFOLIO.
PHOTO SHOOT / HEAD SHOTS.

As part of the Portfolio, the actor required some up to date head shots. He already has a cou[plde of action shots from some of the experiences he has had through out his education and various acting experiences but he is in need of some head shots.

I decided to take it up on myself to arrange these head shots as I felt that the experience would be very good for mw in helping me develop and further my photography skills.

We arranged a day that was suitable for the both of us and set up a little photo shoot that only lasted a couple of hours but was a great experience for me. Here are the headshots taken that day.

During this little photo shoot we used different backgrounds mainly consisting on wood or stone which are very neural surfaces however add a little more character rather than just having a white back ground.

During my research and looking at different photographs and head shots of other actors, i felt that the ones that had a more natural feel were those that looked as if they weren't really a part of a photo shoot.

I also wanted to capture some images of Ben talking and acting natural rather than posing, this to shows what his face looks like and his mannerisms while talking and interacting with something.

I also aske Ben to send me the photographs he has had taken while he was working either in University lead performances and experiences outside of education. this way we will have more material to work with and it can also give the recipient more of an idea of how this person looks wile in different situations and characters.

Having images that show the actor with different hairstyles as well as facial hair also add diversity to the portfolio as it show potential employees the different characteristics and additions this person can offer.

I now have to edit these photographs and choose a selection that I feel are the best quality and composition while also taking into consideration the different perspectives each photograph can offer.
